MaternaCare Mobile: Transforming Maternal Healthcare with Innovation & Equity

MaternaCare Mobile is a technology-driven mobile maternal health clinic designed to provide accessible, high-quality prenatal, postpartum, and preventive care for women in underserved communities. By integrating real-time health monitoring, AI-powered decision support, and telehealth services, MaternaCare Mobile is bridging the maternal healthcare gap and ensuring that all women—especially those in rural and high-risk areas—receive the care they need when they need it most.

MaternaCare is being created for us, by us—a collective effort driven by those who understand maternal healthcare firsthand. Who is "us"? We are healthcare professionals, patients, physicians, nurses, midwives, doulas, healthcare administrators, birthing individuals' support systems, social workers, community health workers, public health experts, and policymakers—all working together to transform maternal health. Our platform doesn’t just rely on existing maternal-fetal health datasets; we are actively collecting new research and real-world insights to build an unbiased AI model that serves every birthing individual and their infant, regardless of race, background, or location. By incorporating data-driven solutions and lived experiences, MaternaCare ensures equitable, inclusive, and patient-centered maternal care that works for all.

MaternaCare AI: Capturing Critical Maternal-Fetal Health Data to Transform Outcomes

The MaternaCare AI Platform is designed to bridge the critical data gaps in maternal-fetal health, ensuring that every birthing individual and infant has access to accurate, personalized, and proactive care. Traditional maternal health records often lack comprehensive real-time data, leading to missed warning signs, delayed interventions, and persistent racial and geographic disparities in care. MaternaCare AI is changing that.

Capturing Real-Time, Unbiased Maternal-Fetal Health Data
Wearable Biometric Tracking

Through MaternaLink, our AI-driven wearable device, we collect real-time maternal health indicators such as blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen levels, fetal movement, and glucose levels—providing early warnings for conditions like preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and preterm labor.

Continuous Data Collection

Unlike traditional checkups, where data is only collected at appointments, MaternaCare AI enables ongoing monitoring, ensuring high-risk pregnancies receive the attention they need before complications arise.

Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) Integration

Our platform incorporates social, economic, and environmental factors into risk assessment models, ensuring that care recommendations are holistic and culturally competent.

Addressing Data Gaps for Better Clinical Decision-Making
Predictive Analytics for Maternal Health Risks

By using machine learning models trained on diverse maternal health data, MaternaCare AI identifies patterns and predicts complications before they escalate, allowing healthcare providers to act early.

Reducing Bias in Maternal Health Data

Traditional datasets often fail to include sufficient data on Black, Indigenous, and rural birthing individuals, leading to disparities in care protocols. MaternaCare AI is actively collecting and analyzing data from diverse populations to ensure equitable healthcare solutions for all.

Bridging Research Gaps in Maternal-Fetal Health

There is limited research on maternal health conditions, especially postpartum complications and racial disparities. MaternaCare AI’s comprehensive data collection will contribute to groundbreaking studies that drive policy changes, new treatments, and improved maternal care protocols.

Connecting Data Across Healthcare Systems for Seamless Care
EHR Integration for Holistic Care Coordination

MaternaCare AI connects seamlessly with hospitals, clinics, birthing centers, and telehealth providers, ensuring that maternal-fetal health data is accessible across all levels of care.

Telehealth & AI-Assisted Decision Support

Our AI platform empowers clinicians with data-driven insights, providing real-time alerts, risk assessments, and personalized recommendations for each patient.

Improving Outcomes for High-Risk Pregnancies

With real-time, predictive analytics, MaternaCare AI reduces emergency interventions, lowers maternal and infant mortality rates, and improves overall pregnancy health outcomes.

The Future of Maternal-Fetal Health Starts with Better Data

Without accurate, real-time maternal health data, too many lives are at risk. MaternaCare AI is filling in the missing pieces—capturing the data that has historically gone untracked, ensuring that healthcare providers have the insights they need to make life-saving decisions, and empowering birthing individuals with proactive, personalized care.

By transforming how we collect, analyze, and apply maternal-fetal health data, MaternaCare AI is revolutionizing the way we care for mothers and infants—one data point at a time.

The 10 State Plan Initiative

MaternaCare Mobile is a critical component of the 10 State Plan Initiative, a strategic effort to expand maternal healthcare access and reduce racial and geographic disparities in Missouri, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Indiana, Arkansas, and Idaho.

MaternaCare Mobile is committed to serving rural and semi-rural communities where access to quality maternal healthcare is limited. Too many birthing individuals in these areas face barriers to prenatal, postpartum, and mental health care, leading to higher rates of complications, untreated perinatal mood disorders, and preventable maternal deaths.

Our mobile clinics bring AI-powered, patient-centered care directly to those in need, ensuring that every mother—regardless of location—has access to comprehensive services, including prenatal checkups, postpartum support, and critical mental health screenings and therapy. By prioritizing mental wellness alongside physical health, we are addressing one of the most overlooked aspects of maternal care and ensuring that all birthing individuals receive the holistic support they deserve.

These states were chosen based on their maternal mortality rates, accessibility challenges, and chronic health conditions:

Missouri – Among the highest in maternal mortality, with severe OB-GYN shortages and high rates of hypertension and diabetes.

Georgia – One of the deadliest states for Black maternal health, with high pregnancy-related deaths and limited rural healthcare access.

Louisiana – Ranks among the worst for maternal and infant mortality, with high rates of hypertension and preterm birth.

Texas – Large uninsured population and limited Medicaid expansion create major barriers to maternal healthcare access.

Alabama – Highest maternal mortality rate in the U.S., with significant mental health disparities and high infant mortality rates.

Tennessee – High maternal mortality and opioid-related pregnancy complications, making integrated mental health support essential.

Mississippi – Ranks last in infant mortality and maternal health outcomes, with severe healthcare access barriers.

Indiana – High pregnancy-related complications, with mental health conditions contributing to over 20% of maternal deaths.

Arkansas – Significant prenatal care barriers, with high poverty levels, healthcare provider shortages, and chronic disease burdens.

Idaho – Rural maternity care deserts, leaving many women traveling over 100 miles for basic OB-GYN services.

Technology & Innovation Driving Health Equity

Through the MaternaCare AI Platform, our mobile clinics will provide personalized, data-driven maternal care that empowers both patients and healthcare providers. Our AI tools will ensure that high-risk pregnancies are detected early, and our MaternaLink wearables will enable remote patient monitoring, reducing preventable complications.
