I’ve always felt a sacred connection to herbs, plants, and flowers. My mother was a gifted gardener with the most beautiful flower beds and gardens throughout the year. While I never enjoyed working the yard, I was drawn to the creative process—mixing, blending, and formulating. In 2009, after surviving a near-death experience from ovarian cancer, I began a personal healing journey that opened my spirit to something deeper. The Most High began to show me visions of the women in my paternal bloodline—Cherokee medicine women who were womb healers, herbalists, and spiritual leaders.
My name is Sherress, and my ancestors have recognized me a Cherokee Medicine Woman. Through divine encounters and angelic visitations, I was shown that I had been chosen in my lineage to carry the mantle of healing forward to heal the womb, heal women from trauma and help them restore balance in mind, body, and spirit, by returning to the Earth for our healing.
Today, I am a certified Herbalist, certified Fertility Doula, and certified Peri-Steam Facilitator. I use these credentials and my life experiences to carry out my divine assignment through multiple healing platforms.
I founded Divinely Natural Apothecary in 2017—a luxurious, culturally-rooted apothecary line that focuses on cellular healing and identifying the root causes of imbalance. Every product is handcrafted with organic herbs, plant extracts, and essential oils to support skin health, hormonal balance, hair growth, cardiovascular wellness, and reproductive healing. The apothecary also offers fertility doula services, including peri-steam hydrotherapy (vaginal steaming), to support womb cleansing, trauma healing, and natural conception.
Throughout my lived experience and professional journey, I recognized the urgent need for a holistic, culturally rooted approach to healing. So I combined my three distinct lenses—healthcare management, maternal health, and community wellness—to build a one-stop shop that serves individuals, families, and communities.
At the heart of my work is the mission to restore balance to the body, mind, and spirit. I lead educational workshops on topics such as optimal health, chronic conditions, hormonal wellness, reproductive and menstrual cycle health. My goal is to empower women with the wisdom and practical tools they need to live in alignment with their highest selves.
I bring over 23 years of experience in healthcare, having served as an administrator, behavioral health clinician and health educator. I am also a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and apply agile thinking to develop people-centered wellness solutions that solve real problems in real time. My most recent innovation is the MaternaCare ecosystem which provides the healthcare industry with a new model of care for maternal health and houses a digital health platform, wearable device, and mobile health clinic to decrease maternal fetal mortality.
